Cannibal’s Pig’s Head Cuban
People, its that time of the month. No, not that one, I hate that one. And shame on you for even thinking. Time to look for the latest W42st magazine, covering anything and everything Hell’s Kitchen. You can probably walk backwards on 48th st, while juggling Empanada Mama Spicy chicken Empanadas, naked, and chances are you will somehow run into a stack of W42st with those little cute zines stacked on top or inside. And if something goes wrong they should have them in the area hospitals as well. In the little zine, you will find Ziggy’s list, and for the month of March in honor of Saint Patrick’s Day, I’m listing the best bars for food
Shorty’s – 20 beers on tap, sports wall to wall, crowds in a frenzy even during lunch. Looking all too typical, until you taste the Philly Cheesesteak.
Casellula – A wine and cheese bar with great wine and, you guessed it, Pig’s Ass Sandwich. Just leave it to them to make the cheese and meat assortment, and wine to go with that ass
The Cannibal (Gotham West Market) – While it doesnt look like a bar, it certainly disguises as one. One of the largest beer selections in Hell’s Kitchen, great wings, artisanal hot dogs, and one nasty Pig’s Head Cuban
Il Baretto – An Italian sidewalk wine bar on a quiet (its all relative) corner of 11th. Crafty panini, salads, and better yet, Panino-salad combinations for lunch
